Two Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Bayelsa While Planning Operation

Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested by operatives from the Sagbama Police Division, youths and vigilante of Adagbabiri community of Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Asinmi Buswait, in a statement on Saturday, gave the names of the suspects as Odulima Igbogiri of Okogbie community and Moses Joshua of Ahoada Town, both in the Ahoada West LGA of Rivers State.

According to Buswait, they were both arrested at Adagbabiri while planning to kidnap a resident of the community, adding that the suspects stabbed two policemen and a youth while resisting arrest.

He, however, disclosed that the injured officers were responding to treatment at the Sagbama General hospital, while the suspects were being interrogated as part of an ongoing thorough investigation.
