Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade on Wednesday warned commissioners ‘who manifestly lack the will or capacity to deliver on their mandate’ to throw in the towel or be shoved aside.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ayade, Christian Ita, in a press release on Wednesday, said this is in line with his desire to finish strong by accomplishing the goals of his administration.
The warning is coming on the heels of obvious cracks in Ayade’s executive council, with some of his appointees openly aligning with the governor’s opponents.
Also on Wednesday, Governor Ayade suspended the Chairman of the state Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Akpanke Ogar.
The governor’s CPS did not however give any reason for the suspention.
