Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have blocked the entrance to the office of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in protest against the proposed removal of minimum wage from the Exclusive List of the Constitution.
Aside halting activities at the seat of power in Lagos, the protest has also led to traffic gridlock in Ikeja, Alausa Secretariat, Allen Junction, Ogba, and Agindingbi among others.
NaijaNewsNow had reported that a similar protest march to the National Assembly by workers has also led to serious traffic gridlock especially along the ever busy Shehu Shagari Way, Abuja.
The workers are demanding the withdrawal of a bill seeking to remove the minimum wage from the exclusive list to the concurrent list, which is already undergoing legislative activities at the House of Representatives.
