A housewife, Mrs Okiemute Dafe has allegedly hacked her husband to death with a machete during a domestic brawl at Kulup Street, off Ekrejegbo in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to reports, the woman committed the crime after confronting Dafe who had slept outside their home the previous night.
The murder suspect was however saved by the police from a mob which had attempted to set her ablaze and arresting her.
The acting spokesman for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred when the couple had a disagreement.
According to Edafe, Okiemute had been arrested and was currently in custody undergoing interrogation.
