Matawalle Recalls Three Commissioners, Three Board Chairmen One Week After Sack

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has recalled three commissioners and three chairmen of boards of agencies in the state, one week after he sacked his entire cabinet alongside all boards in the state.

The governor, in a statement by his spokesman on Tuesday, June 1, sacked the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Bala Bello and all 23 commissioners with immediate effect.

However, the governor, in a statement by the Head of Service, who is also the acting Secretary to the State Government, Kabiru Balarabe, in Gusau on Tuesday, recalled Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara as Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Sufyanu Yuguda as Commissioner for Finance, and Hajiya Fa’ika Ahmad as Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs.

Governor Matawalle also recalled the Chairman of the state’s Pilgrims’ Welfare Commission, Abubakar Pawa, the Executive Secretary of the Zakat and Endowment Commission, Abubakar Sodangi, Executive Chairman, and Alhaji Ali Muhammad-Dama, Executive Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue Service.
