The newly appointed Registrar of the National Examination Council {NECO}, Professor Godswill Obioma has been killed by gunmen suspected to be assassins.
Obioma was said to have been killed on Monday night when the gunmen stormed his residence in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The deceased’s widow, Mrs Elizabeth Obioma, confirmed the development to newsmen.
She said: “The assassins came in and killed him and left without taking anything.”
The Niger State Police Command is yet to make any official confirmation of the killing of the 67-year-old indigene of Abia State, who was appointed NECO Registrar in May 2020.
