Reports emanating from Kaduna, North-West Nigeria, say an unspecified number of students of a private university, Green Field University located along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state, have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The abduction of the students was said to have taken place on Tuesday night.
The incident was confirmed by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
The gunmen, according to reports, invaded the university and started shooting sporadically before whisking some of the students away.
