Bandits have again struck in Kaduna State, as they have reportedly abducted scores of students from the Bethel Baptist School located in Maraban Rido, Chikun Local Government area of the state in the early hours of Monday.
Confirming the incident, a resident of the community said the bandits invaded the school at about 2am shooting sporadically into the air before kidnapping the students.
He also disclosed that many students were kidnapped but four escaped and ran back to the school.
He however disclosed that two soldiers were shot by the bandits, though he could not confirm if they are alive or not.
He said: “Two soldiers were allegedly shot but I cannot confirm if they’re alive or not.
“It is difficult to say the number of students that were abducted,” the source said.
The state government and the police authorities in the state are yet to make any official confirmation as at the time of this reports.
