Firefighters Battle To Save Federal Secretariat Asaba

Firefighters from the Federal Fire Service are battling to save the Federal Secretariat, Asaba, the Delta State capital from a mysterious fire that engulfed it on Tuesday morning.

Efforts to put out the fire that engulfed the secretariat complex located along Okpanam Road have overwhelmed the Federal Fire Seevice stationed at the complex while the state fire service is not up to the task of putting out the fire.

There are indications however that a reinforcement is being mobilised from the fire service at Asaba Airport to help contain the situation.

The cause of the fire which reportedly started at the early hours of Tuesday is yet to be established.
