The Kano State Government, on Monday morning, announced the imposition of a dusk-to-dawn curfew to avoid a breakdown of law and order following rising tensions generated from the collation of results of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.
This was announced in a statement by the Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Mallam Muhammad Garba on Monday morning.
Garba, who stated that the decision was “to prevent hoodlums from causing chaos in the already tensed situation”, called on people in the state to “remain indoors as security agents would not spare anyone or group bent on causing trouble.”
