Father, Son Abducted by Gunmen in Abuja Community

Eight person have been killed in Ugwan Gaida community near Kurmin Kaso in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State after some bandits invaded the community.

The bandits were said to have razed several buildings during the attack, including a church building belonging to the Assemblies of God Church.

The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, in a statement, identified those killed as Samaila Gajere, Bawa Gajere, Bitrus Baba, Umaru Baba, Solomon Samaila, Sambo Kasuwa and Samuila Kasuwa, as well as Gideon Bitrus.

Aruwan said: “Security agencies have reported that bandits attacked Ungwan Gaida community, near Kurmin Kaso, Chikun LGA.

“As of the time of this update, eight residents have been confirmed killed in this attack.

“A building belonging to the Assemblies of God Church was razed by the bandits, along with several houses.”

In a similar development, Aruwan said bandits attacked herders settlement at Mararaban Jos, Rigachikun in Igabi LGA, killing three herders, while also rustling an unspecified number of cows.
