Star actress, Iyabo Ojo has opened up on her experiences in the hands of rapists, revealing that she had been raped five times in the past, with the first one happening when she was just 14.
The actress also revealed that she was once raped by one of the armed robbers that invaded their home shortly after she got married.
Ojo, one of the wave making actresses in Nollywood, stated this in a recent post on her YouTube page, adding that she remained silent over the issue at the time because of the fear of being criticised by members of the society.
She said: “I know a lot of ladies who have been through what I have been through and I feel it is time for me to talk to them and make them understand that it is okay to talk about it.
“Like I said, yes I have been raped before. Not once but five times. And trust me when I say it wasn’t easy. The first time I was raped, I was 14.”
