Costly Mistake? PPPRA Deletes New Pricing Template From Its Website

In a face saving measure, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), has deleted the new pricing template it published on its website on Thursday night, indicating that the new pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol will now be N212.61.

This deletion is coming after outcries greeted the new template and a denial from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Friday on its Twitter handle.

The NNPC had tweeted on Friday morning: “#NNPC Insists No Increase in Ex-Depot Price of PMS in March.”

A check on the website on of the agency as at 11am on Friday for the template returned a ‘Page Not Found 404’.
