Buhari Reapoints Media Aide After Losing APC Primary

A former Personal Assistant to President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has been been reappointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, confirmed the appointment in a letter of appointment addressed to Ahmad, dated July 20, 2022, adding that the appointment took effect from July 19, 2022.

Ahmad’s appointment came more than two months after he failed to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket for Gaya, Ajingi, Albasu Federal Constituency at the May 2022 primaries.
