President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to travel to London, United Kingdom on Tuesday for what his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said is a “routine medical check-up’ trip.
Adesina disclosed this in a statement on Monday evening, adding that President Buhari is expected back in the country in the second week of April, 2021.
“President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.
“The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021.”
NaijaNewsNow reports that President Buhari has remained in the country for the past eight months as against his globe throtting before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, for which stringent restrictions were put in place by different countries.
Also, the UK medical trip of the President is coming amidst threats by resident doctors in the country to down tools from Wednesday, April 1.
