Bandits Demand N100m To Free Four Abducted Anglican Church Members

Bandits who kidnapped four members of the Anglican Church on the Kaduna-Kachia Road in Kaduna State, have demanded for N100 million before they can be released.

The church members were kidnapped at Kasuwan Magani along the Kaduna-Kachia Road. The bus they were travelling in was said to have been blocked and shot at, with the driver shot dead, while four other members were injured.

The abduction of the Anglican Church members came 12 days after members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God were abducted on the same road.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna branch, Rev. Joseph Hayab, who confirmed the abduction, also revealed that the bandits had called to demand for N100 million.

“They have contacted their families and asked for N100 million ransom. That was what they said,” he stated.
